A rectangular wooden chest more than a metre and a half long — **the largest object in the collection**. The wood is dark, and part of a painted decoration survives on one panel, **the only colour on the object**.
The chest was scanned from the outside, without its interior. A life-size replica is not made because the object does not fit into the build chamber of a 3D printer; **miniatures up to 150 mm** have been prepared.
The date, origin and inventory details of the object have not been established.
## 3D scan
The object was recorded by contact-free 3D scanning. The source model has **15.1 million triangles**, with an average triangle edge of about **0.81 mm**: the finest measure of shape the model retains. The surface colour was captured in an 8,192 × 8,192 pixel texture, about 3.0 pixels per millimetre of surface. The mesh is not closed, as part of the surface was not recorded, so the surface area, 43,392.6 cm², was measured but the volume was not. For the web the model was reduced to 150,000 triangles and a 2,048-pixel texture; the source scan is kept for documentation, technical drawings and printing replicas.
